We are seeking nominations for our first annual West River Valley Youth Champion Award. The last 18 months have highlighted just how important those who make an impact on the lives of our youth are. In fact, science has shown us that youth who receive support from the adults in their community are more likely to live happier and healthier lives. This award is intended to provide much-needed recognition for all of the great work being done to support youth in the West River Valley.
There are two criteria for who can be nominated:
- The Nominee must live in Windham County.
- The ideal candidate will have been involved in initiatives that have helped youth have their voice heard through meaningful engagement in the West River Valley (defined as Newfane, Brookline, Windham, Jamaica, Townshend, Wardsboro, and Marlboro and their surrounding hamlets) in 2021.
We will be accepting nominations until December 14th. You can submit nominations via the following link – https://forms.gle/YfyBA5q2V3zjwcLo9.
So go ahead and nominate your favorite teacher, youth pastor, or scout leader! We are incredibly excited about the opportunity to highlight all of the great work going on in our community!
Please note that Thrives will not be accepting self-nominations at this time.
Top nominees will be recognized for their work on Thrives website and social media and the winner will receive an award at a West River Valley Thrives board meeting.
