Above the Influence
ATI is a national campaign that informs and inspires teens to stand up to negative pressures and influences they face in life.
OVX and VKAT (coming soon)
Through youth leadership opportunities, OVX and VKAT groups educate students, community members, and decision makers on the tactics used by the tobacco industry, encourage healthy choices among peers, and work to reduce tobacco use and change social norms. The new student group will retain a firm foundation of educating and engaging youth in how and why the tobacco industry targets them, and giving them the opportunity to educate others in their community.

Y2Y
Y2Y is an annual Youth Leadership conference based in Rhode Island that engages young people through meaningful activities and experiences to develop and implement their own ideas to create positive change. The original youth-driven, adult guided programming has set the standard for youth development and prevention programming across this country and around the world. West River Valley Youth have the opportunity to attend the conference in person or remotely when offered by Y2Y International.
Butt Challenge
One or two times a year we lead butt litter cleanup projects to educate people about the tobacco industry’s impact on the earth. Youth and community members collect cigarette butts in public and common spaces around our 7 towns. We also provide and install Sidewalk Buttlers that provide support to those who smoke around businesses and public spaces. We love Sidewalk Buttlers because we can empty the collectors and send the butts off to TerraCycle where they can be recycled to create new park benches.
