* 3,409.9 pounds of drugs were collected around the state of Vermont for proper disposal
* Windham County collected 287.5 pounds
“My wife had a hip replacement two years ago,” said one man bringing in two large grocery bags full of drugs. “You refill your prescription and then the doctor changes your medication to something else.”
Others just brought a few prescriptions, but all were encouraged to here that they can dispose of their drugs anytime in the permanent box set up in the Sheriff’s department lobby.
Thank you to all who advertised the National Take Back day and those who hauled the thousands of pounds of drugs to their disposal site.
