Mark Your Calendars!
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, October 27th!
West River Valley Thrives invites community members to take advantage of Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Take some time to clean out your medicine cabinets of all extra unused or expired prescription medication.
Many drugs are addictive or can have adverse effects for someone not prescribed the drug. Proper prescription drug disposal can help keep them out of our kids’ hands and prevent the pollution of our waterways.
To dispose of your medication safely, drop them off at one of the local permanent drop boxes at the following locations:
- Windham Co. Sheriff’s Office, 11 Jail St., Newfane
- Brattleboro Police Department, 62 Black Mountain Rd., Brattleboro
- Wilmington Police Department, 2 E. Main St. Wilmington
- Bellows Falls Police Department, 170 Rockingham St., Bellows Falls
More information here: https://takebackday.dea.gov/
You may also pick up secure postage paid mail-in envelopes at the following locations in the Windham Central Supervisory Union area:
- Grace Cottage Hospital, Townshend
- Wardsboro Public Library, Wardsboro
